Dear Bundists,

The Provisional Steering Committee has been doing a lot of housekeeping in the background as we enter the second week of the Second PSC Nominations. As a reminder, you have one week left to get your nominations in, declare your candidacy, and to ensure you’re a Provisional Member by filling out the intake form or the supplemental Provisional Membership Agreement so that your nominations count!

There will be another Local Development meeting on January 12 at 1 PM Pacific (4 PM ET and 8 PM ECT) to catch up with our khaveyrim organizing around the world and to discuss our different locals’ experiences implementing the 3-10-3 structure described in Resolution #9.

To help the process of building those structures along, we’ve created a couple of forms locals can use to tell the IJLB who’s on their Organizing Committee (i.e. the first “3”) and, after the Chapter’s reached ten members and had its inaugural meeting, who’s been elected as a Chapter Convener (i.e. one of the second “3.”) This lets International know who our points of contact are with your local so we can ensure you have the support you need and your local has a voice at the International level.

We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be holding our first IJLB General Membership Meeting on January 26 at 1 PM Pacific (4 PM ET and 8 PM ECT)! We hope this will provide as many people as possible with a chance to catch up and get more involved in what we’ve been building at the International level, ask questions or give us feedback. More details will follow as we get closer to the 26th. Hope to see you there!

This week, the PSC passed Resolution #14 on Provisional Membership Confirmation. This resolution lays out our current process for confirming provisional membership that will exist until the Membership & Onboarding Committee (which you can sign up for here!) is ready to take over from us. It provides for accountability on ensuring a reasonable turnaround on Provisional Membership Confirmations and commits to transparency on the size of our growing organization.

As of this Bulletin, the International Jewish Labor Bund currently has 63 confirmed Provisional Members with 14 awaiting approval! If you’ve been confirmed as a Provisional Member, you will receive a confirmation email tomorrow. Thank you so much to everyone who’s filled out our membership agreement so far!

JewishBund.org has been weeks in the making, and we’re incredibly grateful to the Website Working Group for their hard work and these beautiful results.
