  • Communications Committee Needs You!

Dear Bundists,

The results of the Provisional Steering Committee election are in, congratulations

to the newest members of the PSC: [redacted]! Thank you to everyone

who voted; we had 71 ballots cast out of 190 Provisional Members. If you would

like to vote in the next election, please fill out the intake form (or the Provisional

Membership Agreement if you’ve already completed the intake form).

The PSC met on 1 March to onboard its newest members. Throughout the next

few weeks, PSC members will be updating the committee interest form to better

describe the role of conveners, as well as a statement to describe the connection

between the committees’ work to the broader goals of the PSC and Bund as a

Whole.

Provisional Steering Committee members [redacted] attended the Jewish

Diasporist Movement Retreat from 24 February to 27 February. To hear about their

trip, please join the IJLB for a General Meeting on 15 March.

Several committees are also meeting in the next few weeks:

  • The Local Development Committee will be meeting on 7 March.

  • The Membership & Onboarding Committee will be meeting on 10 March.

  • The Moderation/Mediation Committee will be meeting on 23 March.

If you would like to attend any of these meetings, please fill out the committee

interest form and join us on Discord.

The Communications Committee is looking for additional members! If you enjoy

reading the weekly Bulletin and would like to help out (or if you hate it and think it

could be better), fill out the committee interest form.

Mutual Aid Request: Our khaver [redacted] is passing on a mutual aid request, see

below:

Hi all, I'm passing on a mutual aid request for my friend, more details about

their situation below (content note, CSA and SA mentioned).

Funds can be sent via venmo to @wallacerbelongs

"I had only been employed for three months after not working for a year, so I

do not have any savings.

My hours were already cut to less than half a month into employment in

retaliation for not returning or considering my employer's romantic/sexual

advances. I am a CSA survivor who has experienced two SA experiences in

the last two years. The environment was very triggering, but as I mentioned, I

had no other options for employment/funding.

Any funds donated will go directly toward paying a red light fee, and toll

tickets. Any left will go to car repairs as I will be forced to start doing delivery

jobs until I can find more stable employment.

Thanks for the support."

If you have a project you’d like to promote, a local win you’d like to celebrate, or a

request or offer for mutual aid, please submit your announcement to the Provisional

Steering Committee via our email and we’ll include it in the next Bulletin!

As always, you can find summaries of all our meetings here, and you can reach us

for questions, feedback, or just to say hi at psc@jewishbund.org. Thank you!
